The benefits of flexible working have been shown time and time again. However, if we want to really implement it and improve the productivity of our workforce, it can’t just be aimed at women, or parents.


The Harvard Business Review outline some useful ways which you, as a manager, can help implement successful flexible working your organisation:


In general, more-flexible schedules work better for everyone.

If you have a work-from-home policy, it should be reason-neutral.

Ensure that employees can actually use your flexible work policy.

Set clear boundaries & procedures for being in touch.

Establish trust with your employees and then trust them.

Measure outcomes, not process.
