Extreme Risks: An Insurance Perspective

“In the 2011/4 issue of Emphasis, our Thinking Ahead Group identified 15 extreme, essentially “man made,” risks to the world’s economic and political stability. The list was updated from a paper first published in 2009, when the world was still reeling from the immediate effects of the financial crisis. Navigating through that extreme event, we all gained an appreciation for the damage that tail-risk events can cause.”
